AGL Networks completes Scottsdale Fiber Ring route expansion

Phoenix – May 29th, 2008 - AGL Networks announced today the completion of a 24 route mile expansion of the company’s dark fiber footprint into the city of Scottsdale. This addition brings AGL Networks’ Phoenix footprint to 213 route miles, and is the third of several planned expansions.

“We’ve been hearing from customers that Scottsdale needed more fiber options, this new expansion provides ring diversity along the key corridor of Scottsdale Road and other commercial areas” said Jim Gillis, president of AGL Networks. “We have several more network expansions that will tie into the new Scottsdale ring later this summer that we are excited about.”

The benefits of leasing capacity from AGL Networks include the ease and ability to increase bandwidth on demand, complete route diversity from other providers, enhanced network security with an all underground network, flexibility in applications provided by dark fiber, and a reduction in overall telecommunication costs.
